Christian education is at the very heart of AELC. In the educational process the Spirit of God encounters people of all ages so that they are nurtured in faith, grow in knowledge and experience, and are inspired and empowered to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Christian Education is very important to us here at Allegheny Lutheran Church.  We offer many opportunities for children and adults to grow in the love of the Lord, to learn and to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Our part-time Christian Education director, Tracey Ormsbee, can be reached at chrised@aelc.org.

We offer classes for ages 3 to confirmation age and children are placed into classes based on their grade level. Sunday School meets each Sunday morning from September to June from 9:15 to 10:25am. Teachers are equipped to provide a loving environment where they share the love of God through a lectionary based curriculum which helps connect readings from worship with our Sunday School.   Confirmation meets from 9:00 - 10:25am.  Adult Sunday School meets from 9:30 - 10:25am.
